INTRODUCING THE LATEST IN CEREC TECHNOLOGY: PRIMESCAN

At James Island Dental Associates, we are excited to introduce our patients to Primescan.  As many of you know Dr. Thomas and Dr. Weir enjoy technological advances in dentistry. We have been using same-day crown fabrication for over many years (BlueCam), so when the newest upgrade (Primescan) became available, we jumped on the opportunity. We no longer have to spray powder on the teeth or wait a long time for designing, but are able to get amazing new crowns ready for bonding in just over an hour! The material of the crowns is the same so structurally they are just as good as the ones we have been placing for years. With the Primescan computer, we can take digital impressions which will allow us to send images to our labs electronically. This means no more goopy impressions and shorter turn around times!
